Dubai: The Summer Eye Ball, Annual Stroke Play Golf Classic of Filipino Golfers in the Middle East (FIGME) will kick off at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club at 1.30pm on September 2.
FIGME, known for organising structured tournaments with emphasis to CSR (Culture of Social Responsibility) activities, will expect their members and guests to have a fun filled day of laughter and camaraderie.
The golf event is the fourth Order of Merit (OOM) Major tournament out of eight planned for 2011.
The OOM tournament is sponsored by FIGME officers/members Dan Alforte, Nestor Labis, Rey Lapa, Rudy Laguna and Vic Liwanag.
Door prizes are provided by EHL (Emirates Healthcare Limited) headed by their CEO David Hadley, an avid golfer and civic minded supporter of FIGME.

Golf radar: on a course near you
The Rivoli Monthly Medal, supported by Speed Cleaning and ecco, will be held at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Friday, September 2. The event has a 1.30pm shotgun start and will be played in an individual strokeplay format where each player records their gross score at each hole.
Each players handicap index will be used as the tournament allowance, which is deducted from their 18-hole gross score. Tees: men - blue ladies - red. The sign up is simple.
Entries are to be sent to the golf office and bookings will be confirmed within 24 hours on the website. Entries are on a first come first serve basis and will close once the event is fully subscribed.
Entry fees are Dh60 for golf member and Dh195 for club member. Entry Fee includes green fees, range balls, tournament prizes, men's and ladies divisional prizes. (Optional cart is not included in the above fees).
