Ruth tames Emirates course
Hatton takes overall prize in ladies’ September stableford event
Dubai: Ruth Hatton won the first Emirates Golf Club ladies’ section’s first event following the summer break by scoring 41 points in the monthly stableford.
On a rare cloudy day, the Emirates GC ladies posted some excellent scores on the Faldo course, with Hatton leading the way. Her score included a back nine of 23 points with five pars.
Equalling this score in her first event as a new member at Emirates was Fiona Berry. Although she lost out on a card playoff for the overall prize, Berry’s score gave her the winner’s spot in the silver division for handicaps of zero to 23.
Veronica Elias took the silver division runner-up spot with 39 points, two clear of Thea Hendrickx.
The bronze division for handicaps of 24 to 42 was won by Janine Dols with 30 points.
