Miami: Rory McIlroy is back on top of the world as he replaced Brooks Koepka in top spot.

It is the first time in five years that the Northern Irishman is on top of the rankings

Neither McIlroy nor Koepka played at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am last week but McIlroy top spot thanks to hi better score in the two-year rolling format.

The 30-year-old has now racked up 96th weeks as No. 1 — adding to his tally for the first time since 2015.

He is now fourth in the standings for weeks at No. 1 behind Tiger Woods (683), Greg Norman (331) and Nick Faldo (97)
