Dubai
It was over 21 years ago that the exclusive ladies coffee mornings began and over the years it has grown into a very popular social affair. This season will be no different as the pristine greens and rolling fairways of the iconic Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and Emirates Golf Club welcome ladies looking to try golf for the first time, brush up on their swing or make new friends in a fun environment.
The social sessions launched to coincide with the end of summer and the start of the cooler months are hosted by the resident golf professionals at both clubs and are specially designed to offer lady golfers of all ages and abilities expert coaching and advice to perfect their putting, develop their drive and put the zing in their swing.
George Kasparis, Senior Golf Professional at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is one such golf pro and he told XPRESS: “This has been a very popular event over the years and we are expecting a similar kind of response this year. We are hope to see around 50 a week each at the two clubs.”
Kasparis added: “The best part is we have a lot of repeat golfers. Our biggest client base is the beginners who tend to become serious golfers over the years and eventually end up playing in tournaments regularly after joining various clubs. However, most come for the social aspect of it and we have fresh classes with the beginners and keep them separated from the advance golfers.”
The sessions run for eight weeks with five coaches in each club. The groups cater to all levels from complete beginners and from Dh1200 per person inclusive of full equipment hire. Lesson packages are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
