Abu Dhabi : Abu Dhabi Golf Club, the venue of the European Tour's Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, has been included in Golf World's worldwide Top 100 rankings.

Abu Dhabi Golf Club, owned by Abu Dhabi-based master developer Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) and managed by Troon Golf, has long been regarded as one of the finest championship venues on the European PGA Tour and has been showered with praise from professional golfers.

It is therefore no surprise to see the golf club, responsible for putting golf firmly on the map in the capital of the UAE, has received yet further recognition as one of the finest golf courses in the world.

Abu Dhabi Golf Club's latest accolade will be added to its already impressive tally of awards, including; Middle East Golfer ‘Best Golf Club of the Year Overall' Award in 2010, Middle East Golfer ‘Best Golf Course in the Middle East' Award in 2010, ‘Best Golf Course in the Middle East' Award by Business Traveller Award in 2009, further establishing the facility as one of the finest. The course, carved out of the desert, is situated twenty minutes from the city centre and ten minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The Abu Dhabi Golf Club, designed by world renowned Golf Course architect Peter Harradine, features one 18-hole golf course and one nine-hole course.

Combined, they occupy 162 hectares and feature undulating terrain meandering through pockets of palms and ornamental trees, shrubs and seven saltwater lakes. The impressive Falcon clubhouse has become an iconic landmarks in golf.
