14 year old nails 75 to take home title again

Dubai: Sana Tufail fought tough conditions at Yas Links to hit a winning gross score of 75 to take home the monthly medal for a second successive month.
In near gale force winds, the 14-year-old schoolgirl from Abu Dhabi was one under after four holes, testing her ‘knock down skills' on the challenging Yas Links course, which recently won the "Best Course in the Middle East" accolade along with three other gongs at the Middle East Golfer Awards ceremony held last month.
Sana put her experience whilst playing in the Al Ain Ladies Open in wet windy conditions the previous week to good use, where she hit gross scores of 74 and 76 to be pipped by Lyndsey Brown on her home course.
Sana's otherwise immaculate front nine of Yas Links was marred on the turn when an approach shot to the green was carried by the strong downwind into the lagoon giving her a double bogie resulting in a two over front nine.
More challenging
However, she used this experience to control her ball flight with more caution and commitment on the more challenging back nine resulting in a 37, to finish with a gross of 75 on a day when the competition standard scratch was 76.
Sana currently leads the EGF Ladies Order of Merit by a point after four rounds with 105 points, with Lyndsey Brown the long hitting South African from Al Ain Golf Club on 104 points.
