Top field lines up at Al Hamra

DUBAI: Arabian Ranches professional Malcolm Young puts his impressive run of recent form to a stern test when he tees up against a quality field at Al Hamra today in the fifth event of the UAE PGA Patrons' Alliance.

Young will have his work cut out though to repeat his recent victory in the fourth event at The Montgomerie as former Asian Tour professionals Ross Bain and Simon Dunn are also in the line-up.

Greg Holmes returns from Qatar for the event and other leading UAE PGA Professionals include Simon Payne, Luke Cantelo, Alan Johnstone and the home course trio of Simon Mees, Andrew Pilford and Alasdair Danson Webster.

The professionals won't have it all their own way as The Patrons' Alliance, backed by TNT, Auriga, Al Naboodah and Acuma pits them against some of the UAE's leading amateurs in today's event including Biren Dey, Paul King, Jamal Sa'ab and Sool Chul Shin.
