I was impressed with Rory’s mindset today (Friday).
He hit balls on the range last night after play, and when I spoke to him he was happy with the swing and perhaps dusting down some rust off his overall play.
After a genuine struggle yesterday he was still positive after his first round, so no surprises that he shot a very good 67, five under-par in today’s (Friday) second round.
No bogeys on any day is a sign that his all-round play is in good shape.
When he holed his final putt on the 9th green when he started on Tee 10, he was 4 behind the leaders Christiaan Bezuidenhout (RSA), Min Woo Lee (Aus) and Dale Whitnell (Eng) with Lee having one hole to play and Whitnell three holes to play.
