A host of UAE residents will go up against Clutch Pro Tour regulars at Al Hamra Golf Club this week with the circuit visiting UAE shores for the very first time.

The Clutch Pro Tour, which is the official feeder Tour to the Challenge Tour, is an 'open access' pro golf tour, offering high quality tournaments that provide a platform for player development.

This week is no different with the champion of the Al Hamra Championship securing their place in one of the two Challenge Tour events in the UAE next month thanks to the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF).

The EGF has also received 20 invitations into the event and next week’s Al Zorah Masters, the second of two events on the International Series, which will go to young professionals in the region, local amateurs and UAE National Team players.

Local amateurs Sam Mullane, Jamie Camero, Dominic Morton and Jonathen Selvaraj are a handful of names to receive an invite to compete in the 54-hole event at the Peter Harradine-designed track.

They will be joined by Lee Westwood’s son, Sam, former Abu Dhabi Championship winner Gary Stal and former DP World Tour pro Simon Dunn.

Round one gets underway on March 12.
