Kabir Nanda wins first DDF Junior Medal of 2014

Youngster shoots net 32 at Dubai Creek to finish just clear of Shyam Kakar

Dubai: The first event in the 2014 Dubai Duty Free Junior Medal series was won by Kabir Nanda, who scored a net 32 to take the title at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

Nanda finished half a shot clear of Shyam Kakar on 32.5, while Punya Khanna finished with a net 33. The best gross prize went to Jai Bhalla for his solid two-over-par 37.

Khanna and Aryan Hrodia also picked up pin prizes for their accurate tee shots on holes five and eight respectively.

After conducting the prize-giving ceremony, Dubai Creek’s Golf Experience Manager Rashid Hamood said: “It has been a pleasure to see such enthusiasm from all of the juniors. Many thanks to Dubai Duty Free for their continued support. It has been a great success since the very start and we look forward to continued success in the future.”
