Harmon to provide quality golf tuition at Sports City

Dubai: Celebrated golf instructor Butch Harmon has claimed that his Butch Harmon School of Golf at Dubai Sports City will provide tuition at a level found in very few other places around the world.

His academy at Dubai Sports City will be the first of its kind outside of the United States with both residents and visitors able to take advantage of the same standard of coaching received by the top golf pros.

"Proof of Butch's exemplary coaching can be best seen at major golfing tournaments across the world," said Malcolm Thorpe, Marketing Director, Sports Business, Dubai Sports City.

"Current and former students include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Darren Clarke, Greg Norman, and Adam Scott, and we hope to create many more golf champions at Dubai Sports City," added Thorpe.

The Butch Harmon School of Golf will feature a wide range of facilities, including state-of-the-art computer and video equipment used to assess a player's swing and will open its doors next year.

Along with the four new stadiums, an 18-hole championship golf course and the Butch Harmon School of Golf, Dubai Sports City will also boast several other academies including: Dubai Sports City Football Academy (the home of Manchester United Soccer School), a David Lloyd Tennis Academy, the International Cricket Council's ICC Global Cricket Academy, and the World Hockey Academy in partnership with the International Hockey Federation.

Also forming part of the $3 billion development will be top class multi-sport training facilities including a gym and a 50 metre swimming pool as well as a sports medicine and rehabilitation centre.
