Dubai: Dubai Duty Free (DDF) will celebrate the 19th DDF Golf World Cup at Emirates and Dubai Creek Golf Clubs on November 23-24.

The event has consistently attracted top executives from the duty free industry worldwide and is now firmly established as one of the golfing highlights on the industry calendar.

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice-chairman of DDF, said: "The 19th running of this tournament represents a major milestone for us and we're looking forward to welcoming over 100 players this year."

Players from all over the world including, Great Britain, Germany, France, Ireland, Australia, Singapore and the Netherlands as well as from regional duty free operations in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Qatar and Bahrain will take part.

Following the first day of golf on November 23, guests will be invited to relax and enjoy DDF's customary hospitality at Irish Village. This year's entertainment is provided by Palladium (a group of violinists from Belarus) and Irish group, the Molly Maguires.

The tournament, which is organised by DDF, takes place in the middle of an extremely busy week in Dubai. Two days prior to the tournament sees the staging of Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA) conference at Al Murooj Rotana Hotel in Dubai on November 21-22.

The sporting theme continues on December 1-3 with the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Seven's in which DDF will co-sponsor the Scottish team.
