Dubai: Dubai Creek Ladies Amateur Open Champion Anastacia Bakal from The Els Club produced yet another fine performance carding a 1-under par-70 to be crowned the 2016 Titleist Dubai Creek Junior Open Champion.

The tournament was played at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and was the final event of the EGF order-of-merit championship. It attracted more than 60 junior players.

Jai Bhalla from the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club was just a shot from the overall prize after a fine round of 71, but this was enough for him to take home the boy’s title, while Jully Kang was declared the girls winner for the day after carding a 76.

The net divisions saw some equally impressive scoring - with Ali Habib firing a superb net 62 to become the boys net winner leaving Mattia Sparacino just two shots adrift and a net 64 as the runner-up. Jamie Roslyn Camero and Ailsa Brannock were the girls net winner and runner-up, respectively, with scores of 69 and 71.

Eshna Bhargava and Bakal were the girls nearest-the-pin winners on the fifth and 14th holes, while Arjun Gupta and Adam Savage claimed the same in the boy’s category on the eighth and 16th holes.
