Gulf News verdict: It seems like Al Hilal coach Simone Inzaghi wants a new centre-forward and Darwin Nunez is his preferred choice. If Liverpool somehow manages to get €70 million for him, that will be fantastic business for a player who hasn't lived up to his price tag. This will enable Liverpool to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle.

Newcastle target Goncalo Ramos as Sesko alternative

Newcastle are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos if a deal for Benjamin Sesko falls through. (Source: Daily Mail). Manchester United are ready to match Newcastle's opening offer for Sesko. (Source: Sky Sports Germany)

Gulf News verdict: Luis Enrique isn't a great fan of Goncalo Ramos and his profile. He has been given a bit-part role in their treble-winning campaign. Newcastle are in desperation to solve the Isak situation after rejecting the official bid from Liverpool. They might actually be looking at signing two strikers if Isak also leaves, as Callum Wilson has already departed. Ramos could be one of several options listed by Newcastle.

It all depends on the player now. We have to wait and see what Sesko is going to decide. The player is evaluating both options, and according to reports, he prefers to go to Manchester United ahead of Newcastle, but you never know what the final decision will be. It's football. Newcastle are very much in this deal and their bid is official, whereas United's bid isn't official yet.

Tottenham eye Rodrygo as Son replacement

Tottenham are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as a replacement for Son Heung-min. (Source: AS)

Gulf News verdict: Tottenham legend Son is heading to MLS, but I doubt they will be able to convince Rodrygo to join them as a replacement. It seems like Rodrygo won't be having a major role at Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso, but we have to see what he is going to decide. He will have other options to choose from other than Spurs, I reckon.

Leipzig enquire about Chelsea's Tyrique George in Xavi Simons talks

RB Leipzig enquired about the potential signing of Tyrique George during talks with Chelsea over a move for Xavi Simons.

George wants to leave Chelsea this summer for regular game time, while Xavi Simons is pushing and pushing because he wants to make his move to Chelsea as soon as possible. (Source: Fabrizio Romano)

Gulf News verdict: It looks like Chelsea will sell their academy product Tyrique George for 100 per cent profit. It needs to be seen whether he will be used as an option to get Xavi Simons from Leipzig, as Chelsea are very much interested in Simons. From various reports, it is known that Simons is just waiting for the clubs to agree a fee, as he has already set his mind on Chelsea. Leipzig are looking for €70 million. I think it's just a matter of time and Simons will become a Chelsea player.

Antony prefers Betis return over Saudi move

Manchester United winger Antony is not interested in a move to Saudi Arabia and wants to join Real Betis once again. (Source: SPORT)

Gulf News verdict: There were several reports stating that Antony could be heading to Al Nassr to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, but those rumours are far from true. However, Antony's priority is to go back to Real Betis where he spent a good loan spell last season, but Betis are struggling to meet Manchester United's asking price.
