After months of speculation and uncertainty that had football fans on edge, the wait is finally over. Kerala's Sports Minister Abdurahiman's Facebook post on Saturday morning wasn't just another hopeful message — he actually shared a screenshot from the Argentina Football Association confirming their November tour. Lionel Messi will be there as well. And now it's completely official.

Rivals are unknown, but honestly, who cares at this point?

The AFA themselves are saying it. This isn't speculation any more — Argentina has officially put Kerala on their international calendar alongside the USA and Angola. Most likely the destination will be Green Field Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, though it's not official yet.

What's impressive is that the minister is actually delivering on what was promised. After all those months of uncertainty and rumours swirling around, Abdurahiman has made it happen. You can bet the LDF government will take their fair share of credit for pulling this off, and rightfully so. This kind of mega event doesn't happen without serious political will and planning.

Behind this massive project is Reporter Broadcasting Company Private Ltd, who've partnered with the Kerala government to make this dream a reality. Their Managing Director Anto Aguesine has been absolutely passionate when talking about the event, promising they won't cut corners on quality. The guy's so excited he's even been dropping hints about where exactly this historic match will happen.

Remember that Lulu event in Dubai where Argentina's spokesperson mentioned they were still talking with the Kerala government? Those talks weren't just hot air after all. We reported it.

Kerala, where football is religion

Wherever it happens, the crowd control is going to be a massive challenge because this won't just be a football match – it'll be a full-blown festival. There are plans for musical shows and entertainment around the main event. The atmosphere will be unlike anything Kerala has seen before.

Football in Kerala isn't just popular — it's pure madness in the best way possible. The football fans here are waiting to show Messi and the Argentina side just how much they love them. When Argentina plays here, hundreds of thousands of fans who have watched Messi's magic on TV for years will finally see the GOAT in person. There will be so many tears of joy for us to witness.

The only question now is Messi's fitness. The man's not getting any younger and has been picking his battles carefully. But if he does make it to Kerala, if he actually steps onto the pitch, it'll be a moment that defines Kerala football history.

Many people's dream could become reality soon.
