Looking for some differential picks to give your FPL team the edge? These players could help. Remember, the deadline is 9:30pm tonight.

1. Matheus Cunha, £8.0m (Midfielder, Manchester United, 8.7%)

Next six games: Fulham (a), Burnley (h), Man City (a), Chelsea (h), Brentford (a), Sunderland (h)

Remember when picking any United player except Bruno meant your mates would laugh at you? Well, those days might actually be over.

United couldn’t score against Arsenal in their opener, but they actually looked dangerous for once. Cunha was right in the thick of the action, and you could tell he was buzzing to be out there — always a good sign.

They’ve got Fulham away next, but the real money fixture is Burnley at home after that. Cunha could absolutely tear it up down that left wing, and at £8.0m, he’s not going to break the bank either.

2. Pape Matar Sarr, £5.0m (Midfielder, Tottenham Hotspur, 2.8%)

Next six games: Manchester City (a), Bournemouth (h), West Ham United (a), Brighton & Hove Albion (a), Wolverhampton Wanderers (h), Leeds United (a)

He could be the perfect differential signing your squad needs until Spurs sign an attacking midfielder.

He got an assist when Spurs smashed Burnley 3-0 and came really close to hitting those defensive bonus targets. Playing City away might sound scary, but think about it — Spurs will be defending loads, and City will leave gaps when they attack. City didn’t look that comfortable against Wolves early on either. Perfect setup for Sarr to do his thing, maybe. However, at just £5.0m, he is a solid addition.

3. Eliezer Mayenda, £5.5m (Forward, Sunderland, 1.5%)

Next six games: Burnley (a), Brentford (h), Crystal Palace (a), Aston Villa (h), Nottingham Forest (a), Man Utd (a)

Looking for a random pick to shake up your front line? Mayenda might be your guy.

The Sunderland striker finally got his first Premier League goal against West Ham and picked up some bonus points too. Now he is heading to Burnley, who looked defensively shaky, which was so unlikely of Scott Parker’s team, who conceded only 16 goals in the Championship. They only made six tackles the entire game, which was the worst in the league by miles. If they play like that again, Mayenda could have another good day at the office.

Sunderland are absolutely buzzing after their victory against West Ham on opening day at the Stadium of Light. This is an away game, but this is a different Sunderland and Mayenda looks hungry. He is a perfect differential you can have in your team.
