Dubai: Emirates has announced a landmark seven-year partnership with FC Bayern Munich, making the airline a Platinum Partner of the 34-time Bundesliga champions and six-time UEFA Champions League winners from the 2025-26 to 2031-32 seasons.

One of the most successful and widely supported football clubs in the world, FC Bayern boasts over 140 million fans globally and a record 410,000 members. The club’s fanbase spans more than 100 countries, making it a powerful platform for international engagement.

Emirates branding rights

The multi-year agreement grants Emirates extensive branding rights, including visibility on LED boards and pitch cam carpets at Allianz Arena, access to player image rights, and presence across press conferences, interviews, and digital platforms. Emirates will also receive premium hospitality privileges, including a dedicated skybox at the stadium.

Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline, said: “We are immensely proud to partner with FC Bayern — Germany’s most iconic football club. This goes beyond a commercial agreement; it reflects our deep commitment to Germany and to connecting with passionate communities worldwide. Sport has a unique power to unite people, and we look forward to building relationships with millions of Bayern fans while celebrating the pursuit of excellence.”

Fitting Bayern's ambitions

Michael Diederich, Deputy Chairman of FC Bayern, added: “FC Bayern is very pleased to welcome Emirates, a long-time supporter of European football, as a partner. Emirates brings both financial strength and global reach, making it an ideal fit as we pursue our sporting and international ambitions.”

The deal also marks Emirates’ return to German football, enhancing its visibility in key global markets where FC Bayern’s fanbase is expanding — especially in Asia and the US. The partnership will be supported by Emirates’ global network and premium services.

Fly Better branding on elite teams' jerseys

Football has long been a cornerstone of Emirates’ sponsorship portfolio. Its ‘Fly Better’ branding appears on the jerseys of Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan, Benfica and Olympique Lyonnais. Emirates also holds naming rights to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and is the Title Partner of the Emirates FA Cup. The airline supports Al Ain FC in the UAE and is a sponsor of the UAE Pro League.

Germany’s most decorated club, FC Bayern has 34 national titles and six Champions League wins. With offices in New York, Shanghai, and Bangkok, the club is actively expanding its global footprint while staying rooted in tradition and community.
