Dubai: Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, star performers of the Indian Premier League, have been selected for the Indian squad for the five-match Twenty20 series against West Indies, to be played in the Caribbean Islands and Florida next month.

Hardik Pandya will lead the 15-member squad, which has a mix of youth and experience, while Suryakumar Yadav will be his deputy in a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday.

India’s T20I squad:

Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Surya Kumar Yadav (vice-captain), Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya (captain), Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar.

Twenty20 series schedule (all matches 6.30pm UAE):

August 3: First Twenty20, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad

August 6: Second Twenty20, Providence Stadium, Guyana.

August 8: Third Twenty20, Providence Stadium, Guyana

August 13: Fifth Twenty20, Central Broward Regional Park Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida.
