Dubai: The Rajasthan Royals team management are leaving no stones unturned to see that their team are not short on motivation during their campaign. Nungshi & Tashi Malek, first female twins to scale Mt. Everest, were the latest guests at the Swai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday to share their experiences with Ajinkya Rahane & Co.

Coming from a conservative Haryana state in north India, the ‘Everest Twins’ had to endure both social stigma and hardships in their early days to becoming the first siblings to scale the peak and then became the Guinness World Record holders at just 23 for being the youngest people (and first twins) to complete the ‘Explorers Grand Slam’ — meaning scaling the world’s seven highest peaks in all the continents including Everest and skiing to the North and South Poles.

They were conferred with “2016 Leif Erikson Young Explorers Award” in Iceland given by the President of Iceland and the highest Indian adventure award, ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2015’ which was conferred by the President of India on August, 2016.

Looking back, Nungshi said: “We told ourselves that if we do something, we will do something so big that it can inspire millions of girls to come out and follow their dreams.”

Adding to what it was like preparing your mind and body together for the challenges that lies ahead, Tashi said: “Training the mind is definitely very hard, but that’s what you go to do in order to tell yourselves again and again that never give up.”
