Dubai: Happy days are here for basketball mad Filipinos as three top PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) teams battle it out in the Middle East Swing of the PBA Governors' Cup over the weekend.

Al Shabab Sports Club will play host to two mouth-watering fixtures with Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters set to take on B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados on Thursday before returning to the court on Friday to tackle the popular Barangay Ginebra Kings.

The Texters are gunning for a rare Grand Slam having won the title in the last two PBA conferences - All-Filipino and Commissioner Cup. Should they emerge victorious on Friday, they will become only the fourth team to achieve the feat after Crispa, San Miguel and Alaska. But they are under no illusions about the challenge that lies in wait especially with Llamados and the Ginebra Kings carrying fine form from the Philippines to Dubai.

Llamados are fresh from a 104-92 win over the Meralco Bolts on Sunday where PBA reigning MVP James Yap finished with 27 points and Stefon Hannah scoring 23 in his farewell game. The Jorge Gallent-coached side have opted to replace Hannah with former Puerto Rico pro league star, Darnell Hinson.

The PBA is Asia's longest-running professional basketball league.
