
Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to his twitter account to congratulate Morocco on its win and express his happiness at the Arab victory.
“The Atlas Lions bring joy and pride to all Arabs. Morocco’s victory is a joy and pride for all the Arabs from the Ocean to the Gulf. Thousands of congratulations to Morocco,” Sheikh Mohammed said in a tweet.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has also congratulated Morocco on its well-deserved win after over Belgium 2-0 at the FIFA World Cup.
“Congratulations to the Atlas Lions. Congratulations to Morocco. You have made all the Arabs happy for a well-deserved win and your heroic performance,” Sheikh Hamdan said in a tweet.
Belgium, ranked No. 2 in the world behind Brazil, had won its last seven group games at the World Cup. It was Morocco’s first win at a World Cup since 1998 and only its third ever.
