    Look: It took 3,100 workers in Dubai to clear up flooded roads

    More than 600 engineers and inspectors worked 24/7 after heavy rains hit Dubai

    It is raining heavy in Dubai. More rains are expected to hit the city today. On January 12, residents woke up to pre-dawn rumble of thunder and flashes of lightning, bringing in the early morning showers and strong winds into the city on Sunday. On January 11, the city came to pretty much a stand-still as rains lashed in the city. Road diversions, blocks, flooding in the emirate was pretty much the norm all through on January 11. And Dubai authorities worked hard, round the clock 24/7 to ensure, safety for its residents.     According to the Dubai Media Office, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has more than 600 engineers, inspectors, workers and technicians working round the clock to ensure smooth traffic experience for Dubai commuters on the road. Image Credit: Instagram

    Dubai Municipality deployed an emergency team of staff to work round the clock to ensure water was continuously being drained out from the streets of Dubai. The Dubai Municipality team was on the streets with all necessary equipment to clear water logs. The equipment used to help drain rainwater pools, remove sand and agricultural residues.
