This is Charles' first trip to the U.S. since he became king in 2022

Washington: Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla began a four-day state visit to the United States on Monday, amid simmering transatlantic tensions over the Iran war and just two days after a shooting at a dinner attended by their host, President Donald Trump.
The visit, the first to the US since Charles became king in 2022, is designed to honour the historic ties between the two nations and to mark the United States’ 250th anniversary, the British government said.
