Who was Sandeep Nahar? Bollywood actor was found dead, left suicide note on social media

Bollywood actor Sandeep Nahar [first from right] left the entire film industry and fans in shock after he allegedly committed suicide at his Mumbai residence on Monday (February 15). Nahar acted alongside late actor Sushant Singh Rajput as his friend in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’.

Nahar was found dead at his Goregaon residence, hours after leaving a suicide note and a video on Facebook. He was found hanging by his wife and a couple of others, according to police.

Nahar got married two years ago and while there are media reports of marital trouble based on his social media posts there have been no official comments from the police.

Nahar, who was in his 30s, acted in films such as 'Kesari' with Akshay Kumar and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'. He also appeared in ALT Balaji’s 'Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai'.

According to an India.com report, Sandeep belonged to Chandigarh where he completed his graduation and came to Mumbai to try his luck in the movies.

In the suicide note, Sandeep reportedly mentioned professional issues as well as personal problems. Regional media reports said Nahar claimed that he was replaced from projects after everything was finalised and agreements were signed.

The nine-minute long video he posted on Facebook where he reportedly said he wanted to commit suicide has been taken offline along with the note. Police said investigation is ongoing.

Condolences poured in from netizens and industry colleagues after the news broke. Ranvir Shorey mourned the young actor, emphasizing the ‘pressures behind the screen’. penned a thoughtful note and expressed, “The pressures behind the screen, neither from the balconies nor stalls can be seen. Om Shanti. #RIP.”

Actor Akshay Kumar remembered his Kesari co-star Sandeep Nahar in a heart-wrenching tweetand wrote : "Heartbreaking to know about Sandeep Nahar's passing away. A smiling young man passionate for food as I remember him from Kesari. Life's unpredictable. Please seek help if ever feeling low. Peace for his soul."
