Shweta Bachchan Nanda: How she created a niche for herself

Who is Shweta Bachchan? She is the daughter of Bollywood's power couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. But the 45-year-old has created a niche for herself. Take this: she is a journalist, author, host and former model. Shweta made her acting debut as a model for a television advertisement.

Shweta modeled for the first time in September 2006. She appeared in the seventh annual issue of the magazine in June 2009 with her brother Abhishek Bachchan. Shweta married Escorts Group businessman Nikhil Nanda on February 16, 1997, who is the son of Hindi film actor-producer Raj Kapoor's daughter Ritu Nanda, and son of Rajan Nanda. The couple has two children, daughter Navya Naveli Nanda (born December 1997), and son Agastya Nanda (born November 23, 2000). She lives with her husband in Delhi.

In October 2018, Shweta launched her debut novel, Paradise Towers, published by HarperCollins. In January 2019, Shweta appeared again on Koffee with Karan season 6 with Abhishek Bachchan.

Shweta Bachchan is very close to her family. Writing comes quite naturally to Shweta Bachchan, considering she is the grand-daughter of a renowned Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Bengali writer Tarun Kumar Bhaduri.
