Every year, one of SRK's fans from Australia buys him a piece of land on the moon from Lunar Republic Society on his birthday. And by now, she has bought him several acres on The Sea of Tranquility which is one of the most sought-after address on the moon.

When he was promoting his film Raees, he said how he was the only person who was not tied to the train for protection while filming the song. The reason being he had to jump between two boogies of a train.

Did you know Shah Rukh Khan’s father was Mir Taj Mohammed Khan, a Pathan from Peshawar (now in Pakistan). According to reports, he [the father] was an Indian freedom fighter, who became a part of ‘Frontier Gandhi’ Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan’s movement and had even fought the elections against another national icon, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and lost. He was the youngest freedom fighter then.

Did you know Shah Rukh Khan’s name was in fact ‘Abdul Rahman’, given by his maternal grand-mother. However, the name wasn’t officially registered and his father - pictured here with SRK's mother in this black and white picture - named him ‘Shah Rukh Khan’ instead. SRK wanted to join the army and even went to an Army school, however, life had other plans for him.

A picture of SRK and his son: Shah Rukh Khan's mother Lateef Fatima was an Andhraite residing in Karnataka and was the eldest of four sisters. She was the daughter of Iftikhar Ahmed who was an Oxford-educated Chief Engineer of Mangalore Port and had designed and built the Mangalore Port. SRK's mother was fluent in four South Indian languages. His mother was almost ten years younger than his father.
