Photos: Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, SZA… all the winners at the Billboard Music Awards

Taylor Swift: Taylor Swift, who was nominated for a staggering 20 categories, lugged home a total of 10 awards, including the coveted trophy for top artiste and top female artiste, as well as top Billboard 200 artiste. In her acceptance speech, Swift thanked her fans, saying “none of this happens without you… I feel like the luckiest girl to have you in my corner and caring about the music I make,” The Hollywood Reporter said.

SZA and Morgan Wallen were the second most-recognised finalists, with 17 entries in 16 categories. Wallen was the most awarded artiste of the evening, with 11 trophies, including for top male artiste, top Hot 100 artiste, top country artiste, and top Billboard 200 album.

SZA took home four awards, including for top R&B artiste and top R&B album.

K-Pop superstars NewJeans were named top global K-Pop artiste. They thanked their fans, Bunnies, as well as each other, saying: “We are always looking out for one another. Inspiring, helping, believing, but above all, forming this unbreakable friendship, without which we would not be NewJeans.”

Mariah Carey delivered her first live performance of 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' of the season, ringing in the festive season.

Other performers included David Guetta and Bebe Rexha, who performed their hit 'I’m Good,' and took home the trophy for top dance/electronic song. Rexha looked riveting in a leather gown as she went on to sing ‘One in a Million.’

Karol G: The singer bagged the award for top Latin artiste and top Latin touring artiste at the start of the show, gave the first performance of the night, singing ‘QLONA,’ ‘Labios Mordidos,’ and ‘OJOS FERRARI’ in a stage filled with water.

Other performers included Peso Pluma (who was joined onstage by Mike Tyson), Stray Kids and Tate McRae.
