Pop diva Taylor Swift, according to US media reports, may make her Hollywood debut soon. What's more, she may act in a superhero movie, or to be specific, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 'The DisInsider' claims that the award-winning singer-songwriter will make a cameo in 'Deadpool 3' as Dazzler. Dazzler is one of several ‘X-Men’ characters rumored to join Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the movie. Let's take a look at other successful musicians who have had successful stints as actors. But first, a disclaimer: this list is by no means exhaustive or definitive. Image Credit: AFP

    Lady Gaga at the Oscars
Lady Gaga: The best-selling artist with an eminently roaring career in music has tried her in acting, with success. Her acting credits include the action movies 'Machete Kills' (2013), 'Sin City: A Dame to Die For' (2014); the romantic drama 'A Star Is Born' (2018), in which she starred alongside Bradley Cooper. Fans await her role in 'Joker: Folie à Deux', the upcoming DC Extended Universe movie in which she's paired opposite alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Her television credits include 'American Horror Story: Hotel' and 'American Horror Story: Roanoke'. Image Credit: AFP

    Harry styles
Harry Styles: The 'Watermelon Sugar' and 'As It Was' hitmaker is making steady progress as an actor. After making his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's World War II drama 'Dunkirk' as Alex, a soldier, he went on to star in the Marvel movie 'Eternals', the psychological thriller 'Don't Worry Darling' and the romantic drama 'My Policeman'. Awkwafina: She gained fame as a rapper before branching off into acting. At first she landed supporting roles in movies such as 'Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising' (2016), 'Ocean's 8' (2018), 'Crazy Rich Asians' (2018), and 'Jumanji: The Next Level' (2019). The singer, who's actual name is Nora Lum, is better known for portraying Katy in the Marvel film 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'. She also has a long list of impressive television credits, including 'Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens'. Image Credit: AP

    Beyonce
Beyoncé: The 'Queen Bey' is widely known as one of the greatest singer-songwriters and entertainers and influential pop cultural icons. But who can forget her impressive film roles, including Foxxy Cleopatra in the James Bond spoof 'Austin Powers in Goldmember'; 'The Fighting Temptations' and 'Dreamgurls'. She also made a popular cameo in 'The Pink Panther'. Fun fact: Queen Bey has directed four movies. Image Credit: Instagram/beyonce

    Madonna
Madonna: Yeah, yeah, her role as the fencing instructor in 'Die Another Day', which was Pierce Brosnan's last outing as the superspy James Bond, is memorable. But the queen of pop has acted in movies since the 1980s, with the comedy drama 'Desperately Seeking Susan' being her first. Her other acting credits comprise 'Shanghai Surprise' (1986), opposite Sean Penn; 'Dick Tracy' (1990), 'Dangerous Game' (1993) and 'Swept Away' (2002), directed by Madonna's then husband Guy Ritchie. Rihanna
Rihanna: Her chart-topping single 'Umbrella' fetched her a Grammy, but the Barbadian singer has an impressive filmography to showcase. 'Oceans 8', the spinoff of the 'Ocean's trilogy, should rank atop, in which she plays a hacker. The musical 'Guava Island' and 'Battleship' are among her notable roles. Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg: As if being one of the most renowned rappers and selling 35 million albums worldwide wasn't enough, Dogg has a film and TV career that would make anyone green with envy. He has acted in movies since 1994, appearing as himself in many. Prominent movies include appearances in 'Training Day' and the Bollywood movie 'Singh Is Kinng'. Image Credit: AFP

Ice Cube and O'Shea Jackson Jr
Ice Cube: Another prominent rapper to have an equally prolific acting career, appearing in around 40 movies. As the irritable police officer in the action comedy '22 Jump Street', he made audiences laugh endlessly. 'Boyz In The Hood', 'Ride Along' and 'Anaconda' are some of his other notable film roles. In this file photo taken on March 27, 2022 US actor Will Smith accepts the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for
Will Smith: Oh yeah. This one's a surprise indeed. Best known for his acting career — and slapping comedian Chris Rock on stage during the Oscars two years ago — Smith is an accomplished musician as well. Smith is known for his hilarious role in 'Men In Black', but he also scooped up a Grammy for Best Solo performance of its title track. The winner of four Grammys, in addition to his BAFTA and Oscar wins, Smith is also among the few Black actors to be nominated for all four major entertainment awards in the US — Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.
