Bollywood stars aren’t immune to the coronavirus, just like regular folks. Here’s a look at some of the actors who are away from their homes — by choice or not — during these testing times. If Mithun Chakraborty, who is stranded in Bangalore, is desperate to reach Mumbai for his father’s funeral rites, actors like Arjun Rampal have chosen to stay away from their homes. Mithun Chakraborty: This actor has been stranded in Bangalore and is been trying to reach Mumbai to attend the funeral rites of his father who died due to age-related illness on April 22. His father was 95 and died due to kidney failure. But Chakraborty wasn’t by his father’s side during his last few minutes and is still trying to reach Mumbai last we know. Image Credit: Supplied

Manoj Bajpayee: ‘The Family Man’ actor was in Uttarakand for an independent film shooting when India was hit by the coronavirus scare. The actor told Gulf News, while promoting his new Netflix film ‘Mrs Serial Killer’, that he decided to stay back with his family in Uttarakand as he is enjoying the open space and quiet. His filming unit and crew went back, but Bajpayee and his family decided to be far away from the city crowd. “We have simple needs as a family and we love being together as a family. We are all safe here,” said Bajpayee. Image Credit: IANS

Nargis Fakhri: Bollywood actress and model Nargis Fakhri is currently in Los Angeles, in a self-quarantine mode. She’s alone, but not lonely in LA. She claims she is on a spiritual sabbatical and is contemplating what her next chapter in her life would be. “I do miss working in Bollywood and would love to keep doing films, but work-life balance is very important for my mental and physical well being,” said Fakhri. Arjun Rampal: The Bollywood actor is stranded in a picturesque hill station, Kajrat, in Maharashtra and he is loving every minute of it. He’s there with Gabrielle Demetriades and his nine-month old son Arik. Rampal took to Instagram to talk about his self-quarantine. “I thought it would be better to operate from here instead of travel at this point. I have a house here, so it worked out well … We decided to stay back for my son’s safety. While he is too young now, this will be a story to tell him when he grows older. Besides, Mumbai is just a few hours away, and hence, easily accessible in case of an emergency,” said Rampal. Image Credit: Instagram

Sanjay Dutt with his wife Maanayata and 9-year-old twins Shahraan and Iqra
Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanyata Dutt and twins: Actor Sanjay Dutt is in Mumbai, but his wife and twins are currently in Dubai. In an interview with an Indian daily, Dutt revealed that he was missing his wife and children. “For me, they are everything. Thanks to technology, I can see and talk to them multiple times in a day, and yet, I miss them terribly. These times teach you about the fragility of life, and the value of moments spent with your loved ones. We should count our blessings, and never take them for granted. Although I have them virtually with me, there is a difference. As a father and husband, I am worried about their safety, even though I know that they are fine,” said Dutt in that interview with Times Of India. Image Credit: Insta/duttsanjay
