Bollywood wedding: Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal share Mehendi ceremony photos

Newlywed Katrina Kaif is clear about her wedding being a personal affair - fans will only be invited to see couple-approved photos. Still, they are sharing. Kaif posted photos from her mehendi ceremony soon after posting photos from the haldi ceremony. "Mehendi Taa Sajdi Je Nache Saara Tabbar," the happy bride captioned the post.

Her hubby, actor Vicky Kaushal also posted photos from the ceremony with the same caption. Kaushal wore an embroidered raw silk bandhgala jacket with coromandel chintz prints, a mint silk kurta with embroidered butis and a Bangalore silk ivory salwar, from the same designer. The Bollywood vibe could not be denied.

Bride Katrina can be seen dancing to dhol beats during her wedding festivities with groom Kaushal and the rest of the family.

For the mehendi ceremony, Katrina wore a Sabyasachi multi-coloured matka silk lehenga with a patchwork blouse and an organza dupatta inspired by the designer's graduation collection Kashgaar Bazaar.

The mehendi artist told a media outlet that Katrina fell in love with the Rajasthani-style mehendi and she had asked for groom Vicky Kaushal's name to be written on her palm as per tradition.

Post the wedding, the couple sent tokens of love for their Bollywood friends in cute hampers. The 'Queen' actor Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram handle to share a picture of a basket of 'desi ghee ke laddoos', adorned with beautiful flowers posting ''Delicious desi ghee ke ladoos from newlywed @katrinakaif and @vickykaushal...thank you aur bahut bahut badhai."

Both Kaif and Kaushal shared a series of photos from their 'haldi' ceremony on Instagram on December 11, two days after the Bollywood star pair tied the knot in an intimate wedding in Rajasthan.

The pre-wedding festivities kick-started on December 7 with mehendi, followed by big fat Punjabi Sangeet Night on December 8. Kabir Khan, Angad Bedi, Mini Mathur, Neha Dhupia, Gurdas Maan, Sharvari Wagh, and Vijay Krishna Acharya among many others from the film industry were a part of Vicky and Katrina's wedding festivities.
