Photos: ‘Bridgerton’ season two's first-look images revealed

We’re in for a cracking new season of ‘Bridgerton’, if the recently released first-look images are to be believed. The second season of the Netflix show is out on March 25 and the streamer put out eight pictures from the eagerly awaited show on January 20 featuring a sneak peek of the fresh romantic pairing.

One picture showcases the sizzling chemistry between lead actress Simone Ashley’s character Kate Sharma and actor Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton.

The two stars come to the forefront in this season, which is all about Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s search for a wife. This search leads him to the spirited Kate Sharma. One image shows her toting a gun with other characters.

Another image shows a glimpse of Phoebe Dyvenor reprising her role as Daphne Basset.

Also returning are best friends Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) also makes a comeback. The new season of ‘Bridgerton’ is based on Julia Quinn’s novel ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’, the second in her best-selling book series.

Ashley, who plays Olivia Hanan on the Netflix show ‘Sex Education’, is sure to shake things up. Her official character description reads: “Newly arrived in London, Kate is a smart, headstrong young woman who suffers no fools — Anthony Bridgerton very much included.”

The first season of the hit series premiered on December 25, 2020, and focused on the romance between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings (Rege-Jean Page). Page will (tragically) not be returning this season. The Netflix show has been so popular that it has already been renewed until season four.
