Oscars 2020: Who won what this year

Best Picture: 'Parasite'. The South Korean film has made history! It's the first non-English film ever to win a Best Picture Oscar. It has also won four Oscars tonight.

Best Actress: Renee Zellweger for 'Judy'. This is the second Oscar win for the actress and her fourth nomination. "This past year celebrating Judy Garland is a really good reminder that heroes unite us," she said. "When we celebrate our heroes, we are reminded that we are one people."

Best Actor: ‎Joaquin Phoenix for 'Joker'. This is the first Oscar and fourth nomination for the actor. "The greatest gift [acting] has given me is to be a voice for the voiceless. I think that we've become very disconnected from the natural world, we feel entitled," he said. "I've been scoundrel all my life but many people in this room have given me a second chance. And that is what humanity is all about."

Best Director: Bong Joon-ho for 'Parasite'. This is the third win for the South Korean film and it continues to make history as the first film from the country to win the honours. "After International Feature, I thought I was done for the night and ready to relax," director Bong said. He also paid an homage to director Martin Scorsese, who received a standing ovation, and said he studied Scorsese's films in movie school.

Best Supporting Actor: Brad Pitt for 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood'. This is Pitt's first acting Oscar and he got really emotional, recalling his journey in the industry. He thanked his director Quentin Tarantino and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. "This is for my kids, who colour everything I do. I adore you," he said, holding back tears.

Best Animated Feature Film: 'Toy Story 4'. The fourth installment in the Pixar franchise about the adventures of toys that come to life reunited several beloved characters and introduced a new one: Forky. The craft project made from a spork comes to life and realises his worth, despite the strong sense that he would rather be in the trash.

Best Animated Short Film: 'Hair Love'. "We have a firm belief that representation matters deeply, especially in cartoons," said producer Karen Rupert Toliver.

Best Original Screenplay: 'Parasite'. This is the first Oscar for director and writer Bong Joon Ho and co-writer Han Jin Won. The pair dedicate their award to South Korea.

Best Adapted Screenplay: Taika Waititi for 'Jojo Rabbit'. This is the first Oscar for the New Zealand director, who adapted the book 'Caging Skies' for his satirical comedy. Waititi dedicated his award to "all the indigenous kids around the world".

Best Live Action Short Film: 'The Neighbor's Window' directed by Marshall Curry. The 20-minute film is about a middle-aged woman whose life is shaken up when two younger people move in across the street.

Achievement in Production Design: Barbara Ling and Nancy Haigh for 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood'. The two thanked director Tanrantino for "taking us on this wild ride".

Achievement in Costume Design: Jacqueline Durran for 'Little Women'. This is her second Oscar award. Greta Gerwig was an inspiration with her courage, says Durran.

Best Documentary Feature: 'American Factory'. The film is about a Chinese billionaire who opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant in Ohio. "Our film is from Ohio, but it could be from anywhere. Working people have it harder and harder these days, and we believe that things will get better when workers of the world unit," said co-director Julia Reichert.

Best Documentary Short Subject: 'Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You're a Girl)'. The film tells the story of Afghan girls learning to read, write and skateboard, in Kabul. "This is my love letter to the brave girls of [Kabul]," said director Carol Dysinger.

Best Supporting Actress: Laura Dern for 'Marriage Story'. This is the actress' first ever Oscar. She's been nominated two other times in the past. "Noah wrote a movie about love and breaching divisions, and hopefully for all of us in the name of our planet," she said.

Achievement in Sound Editing: David Giammarco for 'Ford v Ferrari'. The film is about American automotive designer Carroll Shelby and British race car driver Ken Miles who battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary vehicle for the Ford Motor Co.

Achievement in Sound Mixing: Mark Taylor and Stuart Wilson for '1917'. The Sam Mendes film is one of the most nominated films this year.

Achievement in Cinematography: Roger Deakins for '1917'. "This belongs to a lot of people who worked with me," said Deakins, who's won an Oscar before.

Achievement in Film Editing: Michael McCusker and Andrew Buckland for 'Ford v Ferrari'. This is the second Oscar for the James Mangold-directed film starring Matt Damon and Christian Slater.

Achievement in Visual Effects: '1917'. This is the third Oscar tonight for the film.

Achievement in Make-up and Hair Styling: 'Bombshell'. This is the first Oscar for the movie tonight. The film is based on the accounts of several women at Fox News who set out to expose CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment, and has been praised for Charlize Theron's transformation into TV personality Megyn Kelly.

International Feature Film: 'Parasite' directed by Bong Joon-ho. This is the first movie from South Korea to be nominated for the Oscar, and win. This is also the second Oscar of the night for the film. "I'm ready to drink tonight," director Bong joked.

Best Original Score: Hildur Gudnadottir for 'Joker'. This is the first Oscar nomination and win for the Icelandic musician and composer. "Thank you the Academy for welcoming me so warmly," she said, thanking director Todd Phillips for the opportunity. "To the girls, to the mothers and the daughters who hear the music bubbling within, please speak up. We need to hear your voice."

Best Original Song: '(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again by Elton John and Bernie Taupin for the movie 'Rocketman'. This is John's second Oscar win.
