Little-known facts about Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra, who turns 32 today

As Parineeti Chopra turns 32 on Thursday, we look at some little-known facts about the Bollywood actor.

Chopra, who graduated from a school in Ambala, topped her board examinations. She also scored the most across the country and was felicitated by the then-President for it.

After school, she went off to London, where she earned a triple honours degree in business, finance and economics from Manchester Business School. She also worked as an investment banker in London.

So what would drive a banker into show business? Well, in 2009, during the financial downturn she found herself working in Mumbai as a PR person. Here, she came across Rani Mukherji who reportedly told her that she’d be good in front of the camera.

Chopra revealed on Neha Dhupia's talk show that the conversation took place on a day she was to be Mukerji's personal assistant. "I was her PA just for one day. It was the best day of my life! Because she was my favourite and she was going to my favourite reality show Bigg Boss and in fact, I got to spend 1.5 hours driving to Khandala with her. She told me that you know, you have it in you to become an actress. You should become an actress. I was like wow, Rani Mukherjee, my idol is saying this to me," Chopra had said.

Chopra’s first movie was 'Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl' alongside Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, but she more than held her own. She won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut thanks to the role.

Did you know Chopra is trained in classical Hindustani music? She’s sung for at least three of her movies including 'Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin' from 'Meri Pyaari Bindu'.

Chopra and her famous cousin, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, were the voices behind ‘Frozen 2’ in Hindi. On her birthday, Chopra-Jonas, tweeted: “Happy Birthday Tisha Sending you a biiiiiig hug. Miss you tons.”

1. In 2015, Chopra became the the brand ambassador for the 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign by the Haryana government. A year later, she became the first Indian woman to be the ambassador of Tourism Australia in 'Friends of Australia'.
