Bollywood stars outdid themselves in celebrating Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday. Amidst a social media frenzy, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar and many other A-listers from the film industry took time out of their busy schedules to wish Modi on his big day. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has long been a Modi supporter, wished him on her Instagram Story along with posting a series of his photos. “May you live long Prime Minister and serve this nation for two more terms post 2024 as well,” wrote Ranaut. “May you bring Bharat [India] back to it’s glory, culture, wealth... and values.”

Following up on Ranaut, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar also took to Twitter to wish the Indian Prime Minister. “Wishing our honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi a very happy birthday. Thank you for providing us the strongest hand to hold as a country, one which guides us to newer heights with each passing day!,” he tweeted.

However, it was Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s message that hit home for everyone. The star, who recently received a personalized letter from the Indian PM after the death of his mother, took to his Twitter to pen an ode in Hindi in honour of Modi. “You have always loved and encouraged me with a sense of familiarity. I may not be able to write like you but with all my heart I wish you well on your birthday. Narendra Modiji, you stay healthy and happy. That is my wish for you.”
