Jane De Leon: The Philippines' new 'Darna'

Jane Florence Benitez De Leon (born November 22, 1998) is a Filipino actress, singer, model, and dancer.

Jane De Leon was one of the members of "Girltrends". Jane and Miho Nishida both joined The Girltrends on It's Showtime in 2016.

The 20-year-old Filipina artist is set to follow the footsteps of Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera in playing the iconic role of "Darna," a fictional Filipino comics superhero created by writer Mars Ravelo and artist Nestor Redondo. The origin of Darna relates that she is a deceased extraterrestrial warrior magically manifesting herself through a woman from Earth, named Narda.

Jane De Leon was formerly represented by GMA Artist Center. In 2013, she was named a Supermodel Philippines Semi-Finalist.
