From Sana Javed to Sadaf Kanwal, here’s what Pakistani stars have been up to this week

Model turned actor Rehmat Ajmal is engaged. The ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’ actor got engaged to Tayyab Saleem in a private event.

When Sana Javed discovered a fake account that claimed to be hers, she was quick to shut down the rumours. Taking to Instagram with pictures of the political tweeter, she wrote: “Guys, please report this account. It is not me. Someone is using my name and tweeting political stuff.” she wrote.

Sabaat’s Usman Mukhtar tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to his Instagram stories last week, the actor said he contracted the virus recently. “Guys I’ve been tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully I am also tested positive for having awesome people like you to pray for my health,” he wrote. “Please keep me in your prayers and safe space. This isn’t over yet.”

As Pakistan reels from its second bout of coronavirus, people continue to shrug off the measures in place for their safety. Actor Armeena Rana Khan is none to amused at the shirkers. She tweeted : “Okay, I literally had to yell at these guys (five of them) who tried getting into the elevator with me without masks,” Khan wrote on Twitter. “I left the space myself, told them off (much to my surprise) and took the stairs instead. Such people can end up killing others if asymptomatic.”

VJ Anoushey Ashraf has fulfilled her long-term wish to visit Turkey’s Cappadocia. Sharing photos and clips of her trip on Instagram, she expressed her gratitude on being able to tour despite the COVID-19 pandemic. “One big tick off the bucket list! I first saw Cappadocia pictures in my life several years ago and knew instantly that I must visit this town at least once in my life,” she wrote.

Maya Ali is feeling emotional. She recently took to social media with a letter she wrote for her late father expressing her sadness at not having spent more time with him. She also advised others to spend more time with theirs. “It’s been four years since you left us. People say time is a great healer but the reality is not the same always,” she wrote on Instagram. “I miss you baba jaan on every small moment…I am still saying and I always will, please spend as much time as possible with your parents. Once they are gone they won’t come back. Please recite Surah Fateha for my baba..🙏🏻🙏🏻’’.

Ehd E Wafa star Osman Khalid Butt may be working on a project with Ayeza Khan – at least if his social media platforms are to be believed. He posted a picture of himself with Khan and captioned it ‘reunited’, sparking questions. The duo was last seen in Ramazan special comedy-drama Galti Se Mistake Ho Gayi.
