Filmfare Awards 2020: Bollywood stars bring their style game

Ranveer Singh, who won the award for Best Actor for ‘Gully Boy’, brought his quirky sense of style to the 65th Filmfare Awards red carpet that was held in Guwahati, Assam. Looking dapper in monochrome, Singh wore a suit designed by Kaushik Velendra as he received his trophy from veteran star Madhuri Dixit-Nene.

‘Gully Boy’ star Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actress trophy at Filmfare for her role as the feisty Safeena. A far cry from her look in the film, Bhatt channelled pop colours on the Filmfare red carpet in a pink and yellow gown, with a daring slit.

‘Love Aaj Kal’ star Kartik Aaryan may not have received flattering reviews for his film, but he shed the negativity to shine bright at the annual awards.

Looking pretty in a black bustier and a layered yellow skirt, Aaryan’s ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ co-star Ananya Panday was all smiles as she bagged the Best Debut award for ‘Student of the Year 2’.

Bhumi Pednekar was all smiles as she bagged the critics Best Actress award for ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, which she shared with her co-star Taapsee Pannu. Pednekar looked the part of a princess in a fit and flare red gown, with a slit, which she topped off with a little red bow.

But it was Taapsee Pannu who won in the style stakes, dressed in a butterfly inspired gown of black and shades of orange, red and pink. The Best Actress Crtics styled her look with winged eyeliner.

Pooja Hedge, who flew down to Guwahati on a special flight with stylist Manish Malhotra, wore a shimmery white gown on the Filmfare Awards red carpet.

Varun Dhawan, who is fresh off the success of ‘Street Dancer 3D’, looked dapper in a tuxedo at the Filmfare Awards.

Hosts for the night Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal kept the humour going, while Kaushal even found time to bust out a few moves with Ranveer Singh for company.
