Bollywood stars Madhuri Dixit, Priyanka Chopra in holiday state of mind

Most people around the world have had to put their grand travel plans on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No more beach-side siestas, leisurely walks through museums or paragliding off a grassy cliff. Even Bollywood stars are feeling a bit nostalgic for all the fun vacations they’ve had. Veteran star Madhuri Dixit Nene has been posting images of past holidays on Instagram, reminiscing about them and reminding people that’s life is about experiences and not things.

“The Sri Lankan cooking class we took last year has definitely come in handy during this lockdown.#ExperiencesOverThings,” she wrote alongside a throwback picture of herself and her family from their vacation in Sri Lanka. She even asked her followers to mention their favourite cuisines in the comments section.

In another post, the ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun...!’ actress revisited an image from a holiday last year. “In times like this, my mind wanders back to the amazing adventures of the last year...” she wrote.

The Bollywood icon also showed her adventurous side with pictures from an outing where she tried her hand at what seems to be surfing.

“Take me back. Experiences shape us into who we become. Let’s use this time in lockdown to create unique experiences for ourselves & our loved ones. Learn a new skill, solve puzzles, cook a meal... Once the world opens up remember to always choose #ExperiencesOverThings,” she wrote in the caption.

‘Quantico’ actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas gave us vacation goals as she posted a sun-kissed picture from Mammoth Lakes in California. “Mother nature’s medicine,” she wrote.

Soon to be mother-of-two Kareena Kapoor Khan posted a throwback image wishing she was back on a beach somewhere. “Reality called, so I hung up. #TakeMeBackToTheBeach,” she captioned the image.

Actress Parineeti Chopra used her holiday throwback image to bring some cheer. “Throwback. Maldives. Ocean = SMILING! Behind every smile there is a story. Mine is simple - I travel to an island and go diving every 3 months!! During this lockdown, lets all share some reason thats makes us smile. It could be food, family, music anything!” she wrote to followers.
