Bollywood stars celebrate Eid in quarantine

A day after her dad, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor shared his Eid greetings on Twitter, daughter Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram to post a picture of herself in traditional attire, while captioning the image, saying: “Eid Mubarak my brothers and sisters, may this year’s trials and tribulations become foundations of a better tomorrow. Thank you for praying for us this whole holy month of Ramazan. Have a blessed Eid.”

Sonakshi Sinha took to social media to pray for peace and prosperity. “Eid Mubarak! The world needs love and compassion more than ever now... pray for all those who need it!,” posted the 32-year-old actress. Amidst the lockdown, Sinha is doing her bit for daily wage earners by auctioning her artwork including digital prints, sketches and large canvas paintings in her ‘Bid for Good’ initiative.

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan won the hearts of fans as she shared an image of herself as a child celebrating Eid. Wishing her fans Eid Mubarak, the actress posted a childhood picture of her head covered with a pink veil. She also uploaded an image sporting a black stole, replicating her younger self. ”Eid Mubarak. #staysafe #stayhome #staypositive”

Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared Eid greetings with her fans on Twitter, posting: “May this day bring peace, love, prosperity, & happiness into our lives. May the blessings we all receive today help us stand together, fight every visible & invisible hurdle/virus, & help us sail through these extremely difficult times. #EidMubarak to you & your loved ones.”

Actor Randeep Hooda posted his picture sporting a traditional sherwani with an intricate necklace in his full beard look on Instagram. Alongside the post, the actor extended Eid wishes and wrote: “Hope everyone is celebrating responsibly with their families and staying safe. We will celebrate together again soon #peace.”

Actress Raveena Tandon prayed for safety and peace on Eid and extended her warm wishes on Instagram. She wrote, "#EidMubarak! Wishing you all happiness and peace. Good health and prosperity."

Newcomer Ananya Panday also posted Eid greetings on social media, saying: “Eid Mubarak. Sending everyone lots of love, good energy, peace and a BIG virtual hug #StayHome #StaySafe”

Panday’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ co-star posted a picture of herself on Intagram, with her head covered in a while veil, with a simple message that said, “Eid Mubrarak.”
