Bollywood: From Sushant Singh Rajput to Anushka Sharma, who was the most searched star in India in 2020?

2020 has been the year of home, of looking things up online, and a socially distanced stalking habit that’s extended to celebrities as well. Search engine Yahoo has now released a year-end list of the actors and actresses who were on people’s search bar over the last 12 months.

‘Kai Po Che!’ actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was found dead in his apartment earlier this year was the most searched personality of 2020.

Modi’s emergence as the country's second-most 'Most Searched Personality' was a surprise; this is the first time since 2017 that he has not topped the list. He did however make it to the first spot in the 'Top Newsmakers' of 2020 category, with Rajput and Chakraborty in number two and Rahul Gandhi coming in at number three.pra following close behind.

On this list, actress Kangana Ranaut came second, with Deepika Padukone, Sunny Leone and Priyanka Chopra following close behind.

Rajput was also at the top of the 'Most Searched Male Celebrity' list, followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor.

In the 'Celebrities with Babies and Pregnancy Announcements' in 2020 category, there was much to choose from. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, who were in the UAE last month for the IPL, topped the list.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan who are expecting their second baby settled into the second spot and Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were at number three.
