Bollywood box-office clash 2022: Aamir Khan versus Yash; Ajay Devgn versus Tiger Shroff, which movie will win audiences?

It’s been a while since the clash of the titans at the Bollywood box office, but this year will be different. With movies such as ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in the wings and readying for release there are bound to be some epic races for audiences come release day. Here’s a look at the contenders.

The opening of Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited ‘Bachchan Pandey’ has been declared: March 18. The movie, which boasts the likes of Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi in lead roles, will be contending with not one but two movies for eyeballs. First up, there’s Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’. And there’s ‘RRR’ – which will only drop once the cinemas are open at full capacity (March 18 could very well be that date!).

In April, Aamir Khan is heading to the cinema halls with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. And there’s KGF: Chapter 2’, featuring Yash, Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt.

Actor Akshay Kumar is set to have a box office clash with South Indian superstar Prabhas. Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is releasing at the same time as Prabhas’ movie ‘Aadipurush’, which also stars Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. The films will hit cinemas on August 11.

The movie 'Runway 34,' starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and Amitabh Bachchan, will be released on April 29, 2022. In addition to Boman Irani, Carry Minati, and Aakanksha Singh, the film has Boman Irani, Carry Minati, and Aakanksha Singh in supporting parts. 'Heropanti 2', starring Tiger Shroff, is competing with it at the box office. Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also star in the flick.

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s movie ‘Ganapath: Part 1’ will release on December 23, along with another film — filmmaker Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Merry Christmas’ that stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.
