A deep dive into Bollywood star Parineeti Chopra’s daring vacation chasing sharks

There isn’t a week that goes by where a Bollywood star isn’t sharing pictures from their envious vacation in the Maldives.

This month alone Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with husband Saif Ali Khan, and their two children were spotted soaking up some sunshine.

Bollywood actress Ananya Panday wasn’t far behind either with her pout game on point as she splashed about in the pool of her overwater villa.

However, Parineeti Chopra is choosing to plot out her Maldivian vacation to give wind to her adventurous streak as she camps out on a rig in the midst of the Indian Ocean over the course of a few days, exploring the underwater coral reefs that the country is known for.

What started out as a family holiday with her parents and brother Shivang Chopra in tow soon took a turn towards the wild, as Chopra suited up and took a deep dive into the blue to explore the spectacular marine life of Maldives.

On September 26 and days after doing what her Bollywood peers have perfected — sitting pretty in the sunshine — Chopra was off to her weeklong adventure.

“For the next 7 days, Shivang and I are gonna live on a boat; doing what we love the most — scuba diving. There are 14 other shark chasers here. A stunning image followed the next day, with a beaming Chopra in the midst of her dive. “In between dives. Tropical fish Our boat is now crossing a big channel to go to the next location. Chopra also posted an image with her scuba diving instructor and underwater film producer and director Anees Adenwala, who is on board the rig with the Bollywood star.

At one point, Chopra also complained about jaw stiffness. For the uninitiated, scuba diving requires a diver to constantly bite to hold the mouthpiece in place, usually using only front and middle teeth. This effort can lead to pain post diving.

But all of it seemed worth it for Chopra who not only spotted a whale on the dive, but found some time to enjoy the peace of living away from the glare of the paparazzi.
