In Pictures: Dubai-based decor brand Al Huzaifa gets arty with Design Studio

Dubai-based luxury decor brand Al Huzaifa launched an end-to-end interiors design company.

The 8,600 square feet Design Studio features concept settings, walk-through mockups, and discussion rooms. It also presents 'libraries' of finishes, fabrics, materials, stone, veneers, custom wallpapers, woodwork, and treatments.

”We already had a taste for high-end finishes, so it was a seamless transition when the management and stakeholders took a decision about showcasing the complete strengths in an outlet that caters to customisation and designs,” said Shiraz Jamaji, CEO of Al Huzaifa.

Al Hufaiza is known for its projects with epiphany hotels and F&B brands such as Tim Hortons, CK, and Billionaires Mansion in Taj.

"Design Studio is about bringing imagination to reality,” said Lama Al Awa, Head of Interior Design at Design Studio.

“Design Studio will be catering to luxury bespoke customization,” said Al Awa.

“Apart from the UAE, we cater to customers in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Muscat and Qatar,” said Jamaji. “We are working with high-end hotels and F&B companies, but might even start customization for residential very soon in these markets.”

Following Al Huzaifa’s expansion into Muscat, the CEO said, “We want to move the same thing into a bigger market like Saudi Arabia.”

A team of 16 designers are working on residential projects across the UAE.

“All of our retail stores would have a section that was talking about customisation, but not showcasing the strength of what can be done locally, in terms of manufacturing,” said Jamaji.

“As clientele grew, we became confident that there is a huge gap in the market where customisation was not being catered to at a professional level. That's how the concept was born.”

Design Studio covers a wide spectrum, from smart systems and remote controls to tech-enabled improvements in installation.
