NoFilterDXB: UAE car enthusiasts can get an eyeful of 2022 line-ups and much more

Catch an early glimpse of how the line-up of 2022 models will look and feel like as the #NoFilterDXB – otherwise the Dubai Motor Show – opens for a four-day turn. Make a note, instead of heading for the exhibition halls at Dubai World Trade Centre, the traditional venue, drive down to Dubai Harbour.

The #NoFilterDXB branding denotes the lifestyle-focussed theme this year’s event will revolve around. And nothing shouts out a lifestyle to aspire for than Range Rover’s latest flagship, with tentative pricing from Dh575,000. Arrival date in the UAE is the second-half of 2022.

Lotus’ Emira is heading into a showroom – and straight out – to owners’ porches from the second quarter of next year. “The product opens up to an entire new audience when we launched it in September this year,” said Karl Hamer of Adamas, the dealer.

The starting price will be Dh315,000 onwards for the i4 2litre option and Dh415,000 for the First Edition V6. More than 80 units have been pre-sold.

The UAE automotive market will welcome 2022 in the best frame of mind since 2015. For one, the speed of the recovery in demand this year has boosted all dealerships, some to an obviously higher degree than others.

With days to go for the UAE National Day, BMW timed its latest announcement to German precision. The carmaker will bring out an X7 version marking the ‘UAE 50th Year’. There will only be 50 of these made. The BMW X7 UAE 50th Year Edition is available in two models: the M50i and the xDrive40i.

Each vehicle will bear the UAE 50 Years emblem on the exterior and a hand-printed insignia on the interior, done in Arabic. A new shade – ‘Frozen Brilliant White Metallic’ - and M V-spoke wheels will distinguish this model variant from others on the road. There is also a personal touch for the owner – a car fragrance and a bespoke one at that.
