Worst sandstorm in decades, says readers

According to the report, ‘Sandstorm hits life in the UAE’ published in the Nation section of Gulf News on April 3, the dusty and hazy conditions caused by a sandstorm came from Saudi Arabia. Residents living in the UAE for a long time said that this had been one of the worst sandstorms that they had witnessed in decades. With this in mind, Gulf News asked its readers whether they considered Thursday’s sandstorm the worst that they had seen in Dubai. The majority, or nearly 9 in 10, agreed with the residents in the report that this was in fact the worst that they had ever witnessed in the country. A mere one in 10 say that they have seen worse. Although visibility and dusty conditions have improved, forecasters say that this kind of weather is normal in the transition period between winter and summer. Were you affected by the sandstorm?
