Children are a blessing to all of us. The aim of parenthood is to give your child the best that he or she deserves. We, as parents, try our best to do all we can for our children in order to raise them to be successful people. However, it becomes my misery when my children are at home due to school break, and I have to leave for work. It shatters me to know that my children are at home, and I have to rush in the morning for work, rather than spending time with them.

That is also something that is the biggest problem for working parents — where to leave the children while you are at work? It is really a nightmare trying to arrange for help, be it friends, family or a babysitter. To me, my children are my life and I, just like any other parent would like to spend all my time with them, but I cannot do that due to work limitations. One suggestion to solve this menace is for companies to provide some space within the work premises so that working parents can bring their children with them to work. By doing that, parents and children will be equally happy and performance will increase.

It is important that we come up with a solution to solve this problem as it is not feasible for children to stay at home alone while the parents are at work. With that in mind, I prefer back in the day when joint family systems were common because then someone would always be home to monitor the children.
