Mature people care less what others think of them
People always mistake getting older with becoming wise. All people grow older, but not everyone becomes wise with age. Maturity is all about awareness and understanding one’s true self. It is the essence of life, and this is a by-product of events and experiences. It is not just about physical growth.
You know you become mature when you start living the truth of who you really are. You become mature only after you take responsibility of your own life and accountability for your own success and happiness. You are whole and complete and can achieve whatever you want, without relying on someone else. You will grow wiser when you avoid drama and unnecessary tension. Maturity comes with paying less attention to trifles and paying more attention to the things that really matter. Maturity is reached by caring less about what others think or say, and shifting the focus to your mental peace. Most importantly, maturity is achieved when you accept that suffering is a part of life and can play an important role in our spiritual growth and personal development.
When one becomes completely mature, they will re-evaluate and prioritise their needs. You will stop seeking validation from the external world. You will learn to rely on social media less. You will enjoy the simple and small joys of life like the smell of your morning coffee, the smile of a child, the warmth of the sun and more. You will be able to see good in everything. You will start to live a better life.
