The military logistics deal between the US and India is, again, another strong bond between two countries. While it is not very important to go into the technicalities of this deal, as far as the common man is concerned, the signing of the deal is a milestone for joint military ties.

Looking into the present culpability that India is facing through its neighbours, it is a must for India to have strong bonds with superpowers like US. Time and again, issues arise with Pakistan and China. To our dismay, there has been no tangible outcome of various talks between India and Pakistan at various locations and at different intervals.

It’s a common global reaction that every time there is an attack, we only hear condemnation. Indians feel this apathy and want action. The US Secretary of State John Kerry’s remark regarding making distinctions on good and bad terrorists was a blow to Pakistan. He further emphasised that Pakistan should not tolerate terrorism in its lands. Pakistan must control terrorism and this was a stern message from the US.

India has always had a strong position in its matters with its neighbours, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs to look at other options for the peace process. We need to maintain a clear-cut policy and in the global crisis we all face today, where do we stand?

Modi needs to establish a new process because we cannot keep sacrificing our soldiers’ precious lives. The signing of this deal is a good step forward, to show that India is serious and ready to take action to deal with any disaster.
