UAE armed forces taking part in Malaysia plane search operations

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Armed Forces are taking part in search operations for the Malaysian plane that went missing for 10 days, an official source said.

“The UAE Armed Forces are participating in search operations through two research and rescue planes, as part of 25 countries participating in the hunt for the missing plane in an area extended to the south of the Indian Ocean, towards Australia, and to the north in South and Central Asia,” the source said.

The Boeing 777, carrying 239 passengers and the crew, went missing on Sunday’s early morning. International research operations in South East Asia and the Indian Ocean have yet to trace the missing plane.
