Dubai: If you are flying out of Dubai Airports anytime soon, it is important to make sure you get your polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test done in advance. In a tweet from its official Twitter account on May 23, Dubai Airports advised passengers that the facility of a rapid PCR test was not available to all passengers flying out of Dubai.

“Dubai Airports can confirm that rapid PCR testing is currently not available at DXB for all travellers. The provision is in place, but only accessible for travellers to a limited number of countries that specifically require additional testing,” the tweet read.

Check before you travel

In a statement to Gulf News, a Dubai Airports spokesperson said: “Due to the continuous updates we are unable to share a specific list of destinations. Dubai Airports recommends travellers check with their airline and final destination for specific requirements, before travelling. The rapid testing facility at DXB is only available for those flying to countries requiring additional testing. Proof of flight details will be required.”
